Crews for combined sewer overflow and sewer separation

JF West Coast supplies crews to civil contractors working on combined sewer overflow (CSO) and sewer separation projects across Metro Vancouver. We staff pipe laying, excavation support, chamber concrete and restoration with labourers, pipe layers and operators who know municipal underground work.

Underground work on a long program

Older parts of Metro Vancouver still carry stormwater and sewage in the same pipe. When heavy rain overloads those pipes, the overflow goes into local waterways. Municipalities are working through long programs to separate those systems and control overflows, and that work needs steady crews for years.

We supply the people civil contractors need for this work: pipe layers, top men, labourers, operators and concrete crews for chambers and structures. They work in trenches and shoring systems, around live traffic and next to existing utilities, under your supervision and safety program.

How a crew request works

One call or one form. Here is what happens after you send it.

  1. Step 01

    Send the request

Trade, headcount, site address, start date and how long you need them. A call or the online form both work.

  2. Step 02

    We match the crew

We pick workers who have done that work before and hold the tickets your site requires, then confirm names with you.

  3. Step 03

    Crew shows up ready

Workers arrive on time with PPE, check in with your super and start on your scope.

  4. Step 04

    Adjust as you go

Add hands for a pour, drop down when a phase ends or swap a worker. One call to the office handles it.

CSO FAQ

Something not covered here? Call the office at (604) 375-0068.

What is a combined sewer overflow?

In older systems, stormwater and sewage share the same pipe. During heavy rain the pipe can overflow and release that mix into rivers, inlets or the ocean. CSO projects reduce those overflows, usually by building separate storm and sanitary systems.

Do your crews have experience in deep trenches?

Yes. Our underground crews work in trench boxes and shoring systems under your safe work procedures. Tell us the depth and the shoring method so we can match the right people.

How fast can you get workers to my site?

Call or send the request form with the trade, headcount, site address and start date. We confirm what we can cover the same day and tell you plainly if we cannot fill it. Short-notice requests are common in this work and we treat them that way.

Can I book a crew for one day or for the whole project?

Both. Some contractors call us to cover a single pour or a missed delivery. Others keep the same crew with us for months. Book the length you need and adjust the headcount as the schedule changes.

Tell us the trade, the headcount and the start date

We confirm what we can cover the same day. If we cannot fill it, we say so.
