Excavation and site preparation crews

JF West Coast supplies operators and labourers to excavation and site servicing contractors across Metro Vancouver. We staff bulk excavation, shoring support, grading and site prep from the first day of the dig until the site is ready for forming.

From the first bucket to a ready site

A development starts in the ground. On a large site like Oakridge Park, the dig ran deep and the excavation stayed busy for months before the towers started to rise. Earthworks crews need to keep trucks moving, keep the shoring safe and hand over a clean, graded site to the formers.

We supply operators for excavators and loaders, labourers for shoring and drainage support and grade helpers for the finishing work. They work under your site plan and your geotechnical requirements, and they stay with you through each stage of the dig.

How a crew request works

One call or one form. Here is what happens after you send it.

  1. Step 01

    Send the request

Trade, headcount, site address, start date and how long you need them. A call or the online form both work.

  2. Step 02

    We match the crew

We pick workers who have done that work before and hold the tickets your site requires, then confirm names with you.

  3. Step 03

    Crew shows up ready

Workers arrive on time with PPE, check in with your super and start on your scope.

  4. Step 04

    Adjust as you go

Add hands for a pour, drop down when a phase ends or swap a worker. One call to the office handles it.

Excavation and site prep FAQ

Something not covered here? Call the office at (604) 375-0068.

Have your crews worked on large excavations?

Yes. Our crews have worked on Oakridge Park in Vancouver, one of the largest redevelopments in the city. Tell us the depth and scale of your dig and we will build a crew to match.

How fast can you get workers to my site?

Call or send the request form with the trade, headcount, site address and start date. We confirm what we can cover the same day and tell you plainly if we cannot fill it. Short-notice requests are common in this work and we treat them that way.

Do your workers carry their own tickets and PPE?

Tell us the tickets your site requires, such as fall protection or WHMIS, and we match workers who hold them. Every worker shows up with standard PPE: hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis and gloves. Site-specific gear gets confirmed when we book the crew.

Can I book a crew for one day or for the whole project?

Both. Some contractors call us to cover a single pour or a missed delivery. Others keep the same crew with us for months. Book the length you need and adjust the headcount as the schedule changes.

Tell us the trade, the headcount and the start date

We confirm what we can cover the same day. If we cannot fill it, we say so.
