Concrete placers and dry finishers for every pour

JF West Coast supplies concrete placers and dry finishers to builders and civil contractors across Metro Vancouver. We crew slabs on grade, suspended decks, walls and civil pours, sized to the volume and timing of your pour.

The right crew size when the trucks show up

A concrete pour leaves no room for being short-handed. Once the first truck arrives, you need enough hands on the hose, the screed and the floats to place and finish before the mix sets. We staff pours so the crew matches the volume and the finish you need.

Our placers handle pump hose, vibrating and screeding. Our dry finishers work with power trowels and hand tools to hit the finish spec, from a broom finish outside to a hard-trowelled slab inside. Book us for a single pour or keep a crew through every deck of a tower.

How a crew request works

One call or one form. Here is what happens after you send it.

  1. Step 01

    Send the request

Trade, headcount, site address, start date and how long you need them. A call or the online form both work.

  2. Step 02

    We match the crew

We pick workers who have done that work before and hold the tickets your site requires, then confirm names with you.

  3. Step 03

    Crew shows up ready

Workers arrive on time with PPE, check in with your super and start on your scope.

  4. Step 04

    Adjust as you go

Add hands for a pour, drop down when a phase ends or swap a worker. One call to the office handles it.

Concrete FAQ

Something not covered here? Call the office at (604) 375-0068.

How many placers and finishers do I need for my pour?

It depends on the volume, the pump rate, the finish and the weather. Send us the cubic metres, the area and the finish spec and we will recommend a crew size before we book.

Can you crew early-morning pours?

Yes. Most pours start early and our crews plan for it. Give us the start time when you book and the crew will be set up before the first truck.

How fast can you get workers to my site?

Call or send the request form with the trade, headcount, site address and start date. We confirm what we can cover the same day and tell you plainly if we cannot fill it. Short-notice requests are common in this work and we treat them that way.

Can I book a crew for one day or for the whole project?

Both. Some contractors call us to cover a single pour or a missed delivery. Others keep the same crew with us for months. Book the length you need and adjust the headcount as the schedule changes.

Tell us the trade, the headcount and the start date

We confirm what we can cover the same day. If we cannot fill it, we say so.
